Lorraine and her husband, Steve Smith, welcomed their only daughter in 1994.

Rosie’s other half, Steve White, is the proud dog parent of their adorable pooch Ruby, a mini wire-haired dachshund.

Speaking of having a famous mother who appears on British TV every week, the doting mum – whose podcast What If? – previously admitted that Lorraine was not the reason she ventured into broadcasting herself.

Rosie, who studied journalism at Edinburgh Napier University, told The Tab: ‘I don’t really see my mother as an inspiration. I mean, she’s not the reason I study journalism.

‘My father is a cameraman, that’s actually how my parents met each other, while my uncle is in advertising and grandfather also worked in the television industry. So I guess it runs in the family.

‘I had no idea what I wanted to do at university, but my family knew a lot about journalism and media. I also see it as fun and not as work, which is important.’

“I still haven’t decided exactly what I want to do,” she added in 2015.
