Lorde looks unrecognisable as she goes completely makeup free after undergoing blonde makeover
New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde looked unrecognizable on Sunday as she went completely makeup-free during a rare outing in Downtown Manhattan.
The 27-year-old Royals hitmaker showed off her natural beauty as she stepped out into the pouring rain with her brand new platinum hairdo.
To maintain her demure look, the global pop star pulled a pink cap low over her bare face and engulfed her body with a khaki trench coat and loose black pants.
With a large canvas bag slung over one shoulder, the two-time Grammy winner listened intently to music as she went about her day.
At one point, the award-winning musician was forced to unfold her black umbrella and twist her golden locks into two short pigtails.

Lorde debuted her dramatic transformation last month when she bleached her signature dark locks and took a photo with a fan on the subway.
For her relaxed outing, Lorde, whose real name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor, tried to go incognito with her new look.
However, a fan soon spotted her and asked for a photo, to which she sweetly agreed.

In September, the Kiwi singer shared a disturbing open letter with her fans, revealing she was suffering from a personal ‘heartbreak’.
The artist shared a newsletter titled “How I’ve Been, Revised” with subscribers, which referenced relationship issues with her long-term boyfriend Justin Warren.
‘I’m different, but the same. I’m in pain all the time, I forget why and then I remember. “I’m not trying to hide the pain, I understand that pain is not something to hide,” she began.

The New Zealander continued: ‘It’s actually quite nice to move along with it. But sometimes I get tired of being with myself.”
Lorde then said she wished she could turn back the clock and that she had stopped taking her medications.
‘I’m sitting in the time machine waiting for it to move, but it hasn’t been invented yet. I stopped taking the little yellow pill that I’ve been taking every morning for thousands of mornings since I was fifteen, five days ago. I’ll see how it goes.’
Although her disturbing letter did not explicitly mention relationship issues with her music director boyfriend Justin Warren, fans were quick to speculate that this is what she was referring to.
