The shoot, which is raw and shows off all the different body types, comes along with a special episode of the daytime TV show.

Airing on Wednesday, March 8 to commemorate the celebration, each panelist will share their own body stories throughout the episode, in an attempt to help viewers feel represented.

With Diana Gordon’s song Woman fittingly playing, a promo clip from the campaign shows a behind-the-scenes look at the photo shoot.

Katie, Kelly, Carol, Judi, Gloria and Sophie are all dressed in figure-hugging pastel athletic ensembles as they relax on set and smile to snap photos of each other, showing off their bodies.

During the special episode, Carol will talk about living with breast cancer and having a mastectomy.

Katie will inspiringly express the need for more inclusion of facial disfigurement on our screens as a result of her own lived experiences, while Kelly discusses her transition from Olympic medalist to LGBTQ+ role model.

Gloria will talk about the representation of older women in the media, while Judi will touch on the importance of seeing all body types represented. Sophie will add how she has adapted and embraced life with a disability.

The ladies are hoping to inspire viewers of Loose Women, after a study of the show revealed that 75% of viewers admit they avoid looking in the mirror because of how they feel about their bodies.

The findings also revealed that more than half said they had no body confidence, and more than a fifth would feel better about themselves if they saw people they identified with in the media.

Speaking about the new campaign, Loose Women Editor Sally Shelford explained: “The Loose Women’s Body Stories campaign was originally launched in 2017 to inspire and promote body confidence in all of our viewers.

“We are very proud that she returns for International Women’s Day with a powerful and joyful session and an equally powerful message about the importance of celebrating and seeing body diversity.”

The first Body Stories campaign launched in 2017 and featured raw, unedited images of the TV personality, which received groundbreaking positive response.
