Looking for a great deal on a 1440p gaming monitor? LG’s 27-inch model costs $210

One of our favorite gaming monitors is the 27″ LG UltraGear 27GL83A-B. The reason we’re reminding you is because this monitor currently costs less than it would during one of the biggest sales events of 2023, Prime Day. Originally $299.99, this 1440p gaming monitor has been marked down to just $209.99, presumably for a limited time. While this flat-panel IPS monitor has sold for slightly less in the past ($199.99), we still recommend checking out this deal if you’re looking to upgrade your 1080p display.

This 27-inch LG monitor has a resolution of 2560 x 1440, which is supported on PC, as well as Xbox Series X and PS5. It has a refresh rate of 144Hz when connected to PCs via DisplayPort or HDMI, although modern consoles that you can connect via HDMI top out at 120Hz – still plenty of smoothness. It is compatible with both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync to minimize screen tearing and latency between the GPU and monitor.

The stand that comes with this particular LG UltraGear is probably good enough for most people; it allows height, tilt and swivel adjustments. The monitor can also be rotated up to 90 degrees in either direction for vertical orientation. If you prefer to use your own mounting solution, such as a monitor armThis monitor features a 100 x 100 VESA mounting bracket, so all you need to do is detach the stand and then attach it to the stand you ultimately purchase.

There are plenty of monitors that offer more impressive performance and higher resolutions, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better deal on something with similar specs from a more reliable manufacturer.
