Lone tv poll to accurately predict the 2016 election forecasts whether Trump or Kamala Harris will win in 2024

As the 2024 presidential election approaches, one of the few TV show viewer polls that accurately predicts the results of the 2016 race has made a prediction about who will win the White House.

Bravo icon Andy Cohen asked Watch What Happens Live viewers on Wednesday to say who they would vote for as the next president: Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump.

He said his audience accurately predicted that Trump would beat Hillary Clinton in 2016 – contrary to most polls at the time.

‘We were the only show at the time to predict the winner of that election, so we’re going to do that again. I want to see where our audience will be in 2024,” Cohen said.

During the 2016 episode, Cohen’s guests included Heather Dubrow of The Real Housewives of Orange County and comedian Rob Corddry.

At the time, 65 percent of viewers said they supported Trump and 25 percent supported Clinton.

In 2016, most surveys showed Clinton with a lead of a few points heading into Election Day.

FiveThirtyEight’s national presidential average average showed the Democrat with a 3.9-point lead. Clinton rose 3.2 points, according to RealClearPolitics’ national presidential polling average.

Cohen, along with his celebrity guests Meredith Marks and Adam Pally, conducted the poll again with his audience on Wednesday.

“If the election were today, would you vote for Donald Trump or Kamala Harris?” said Cohen.

For the 2024 election, 73 percent of Watch What Happens Live viewers said they would vote for Harris and 27 percent said they would vote for Trump.

‘Wow. Okay, okay. “I thought it was going to go the other way,” he said. “Well, there you go. This is interesting, you guys are going for Kamala Harris. That’s what we would call a landslide.”

On October 23, Cohen endorsed Harris in an Instagram post supporting her stance on reproductive rights, gun control and support for the middle class.

“I’m voting for Kamala Harris because I believe women should have jurisdiction over their bodies,” he said.

“As a gay American father who had children through IVF, the Supreme Court is on the ballot and I don’t want it filled with (more) right-wing extremists who will take away my rights.

“I believe in sensible gun control. I believe in building the middle class and raising the minimum wage. She is mentally fit to serve as commander-in-chief and not too old for the job. America should never befriend dictators. She will be a president for all Americans.

“I believe January 6 was one of the darkest days in our history, the result of a weak man’s fragile ego. I don’t want to go back!’

The latest DailyMail.com/JL Partners national poll before Election Day showed the former president with a three-point lead over the vice president.

The poll of 1,000 likely voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percent, shows Trump trending upward, with support at 49 percent to Harris’ 46 percent.

The race is still close, but data shows Trump has done a better job of gaining support from independents and undecided voters in the final push.

The vice president had a one-point lead when the poll was last conducted in September.
