‘London will turn to dust’: Putin’s TV propagandist rants about Ukraine using British missiles

Vladimir Putin’s top TV propagandist has called for London to “turn to dust” after reports said Ukraine was “prepared” to use British missiles to attack Crimea.

The latest verbal tirade against the UK appeared on a late-night program on the Russia 1 channel, hosted by leading propagandist Vladimir Solovyov.

One of Solovyov’s ‘analysts’ directly quoted a report saying ‘Give them hell’ regarding the possibility of the British government supplying Kiev with Harpoon anti-ship missiles or Storm shadow surface-to-air missiles.

Ukraine could use such weapons to strike deep into Russian-occupied Crimea, potentially a major escalation in the conflict.

“The British press is saying ‘We’ll give them hell!'” Solovyov’s analysts said, pointing to the report. ‘they are we [Russians]’ he said.

Vladimir Putin’s top TV propagandist Vladimir Solovyov (pictured) has called for London to “turn to dust” after Ukraine hinted it might use British missiles to hit targets in Crimea.

The latest verbal tirade against the UK appeared on a late-night program on the Russia 1 channel, hosted by leading propagandist Vladimir Solovyov (above right). He is usually joined by an assortment of ‘experts’ and ‘analysts’ who parrot Russian pro-war propaganda.

‘Everyone considers this to be completely fine. The Russians can and must be killed! They say that all the time,’ he claimed, without noting that Solovyov’s TV shows have regularly called for the UK and other Western allies to bomb Ukraine.

That’s the problem with the Russians. They will not give up so easily,” Solovyov chimed in. The camera cut to the host of the show.

London will turn to dust! To dust! she said, looking wide-eyed directly into the camera as she raised her arm and open hand strangely in front of him, as if to present herself as an evil sorcerer, in an apparent attempt to pull a joke.

‘Or should I say it in English?’ he asks his guests. ‘Burn in hell’, she says in English. ‘That’s better, yes? Good,’ she asks in Russian, before saying, ‘You flame!’ in English.

The latest tirade on Russian television came after British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak held talks with Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky over the UK’s ability to provide Kiev with long-range missiles, which it currently does not have.

The prime minister said these “we are going to make a big difference” in Ukraine’s fight against Russia’s invasion.

It is said that it is now being discussed whether they should include Harpoon (which can range up to 150 miles) or Storm Shadow (350 miles) missiles.

Such capabilities would allow Ukraine to strike deep behind enemy lines and deal a serious blow to Moscow’s hopes of launching a new attack to take over the country.

Speaking on Thursday, Zelensky called for modern weapons to be quickly supplied to his forces, saying Russia’s new offensive had already begun.

He also ruled out ceding Ukrainian land as part of any peace deal with Russia.

“Russian attacks are already happening from various directions,” he told the BBC.

Of course, modern weapons hasten peace. Weapons are the only language Russia understands,’ he said. NATO allies, including the UK, Germany and the US, recently promised to send main battle tanks to Ukraine.

While these will help in its defense against the coming offensive, kyiv is also requesting long-range missiles and fighter jets to increase its firepower.

Speaking in his evening address, Ukraine’s leader said his priority was to contain Russian attacks and prepare for an eventual Ukrainian counteroffensive.

“Keeping the situation at the front and preparing for any escalation steps of the enemy, that is the priority for the near future,” he said.

Four Russian rockets launched into Ukraine from Russia’s Belgorod region are seen at dawn in Kharkiv, Ukraine, late on Thursday, February 16.

Solovyov’s overnight clip wasn’t the first time he’s called for London to be bombed, as he did so last weekend.

Can’t we finally attack London? What is the problem?’ the presenter asked the viewers of his Solovyov Live program.

‘No, no, no, only on military targets,’ he continued, as if reacting to someone disagreeing with his suggestion. “Well, in Parliament too,” he added.

‘Well, they [Britain] they are going to give planes [to Ukraine] to attack deep into the territory of Russia,” he added, as if to justify attacking London.

Solovyov continued to take issue with the fact that Britain, along with almost all UN members, recognizes Crimea as part of Ukraine, and not Russia.

After an internationally unrecognized referendum held during the occupation of Crimea suggested that the peninsula supported being part of Russia, the Russian-backed Crimean parliament declared Ukraine’s independence.

Russia then illegally annexed the territory in 2014. The move was widely condemned by the international community at the time.

Solovyov said: ‘At the same time, they [Britain] slyly say: “No, well, we just do not recognize Crimea as Russia.” What about Kaliningrad? she asked rhetorically.

‘What do they want to tell us? That is, now you will determine what Russia is for you? It will not be determined by the people who live in Russia, not by a referendum, not by a vote, but will you determine what Russia is for us?

‘In that case we will not recognize it at all, for us there is no England at all. Without France. Without Germany.

“Instead, there are Nazi states united by hatred of everything Russian,” he said, repeating false Kremlin claims that Ukraine and its Western allies are run by Nazi governments. ‘

‘Then let’s get serious. Do you think there are no red lines?

‘Well. Well, let’s show them that there are no red lines anymore,’ she demanded.

‘Let’s go on strike! So that the first one would sound. For the Nazis to bite [Emmanuel] Macron to [German chancellor Olaf] Scholz, of [German defence minister Boris] Pistorius to Rishi Sunak, they would have their testicles squeezed and falling out of their ears in fear.

‘Maybe they’ll start to understand something,’ he said, ending the monologue.

The hosts of Russia 1 have made numerous threats against Ukraine’s Western allies, with a particular interest in Britain and London.

Last year, one of the channel’s so-called ‘experts’ said Russia should detonate a nuclear bomb off the UK coast, triggering a nuclear tsunami.
