Logitech wants to make sure everyone on your video call gets seen

Logitech has announced an all-new AI-powered tabletop camera to blur the lines between hybrid work and the connected feeling that many of us have come to know in the conference room.
Logitech Sight was built with some of the most important video conferencing suites in mind, integrated with Zoom’s Smart Galley and Microsoft Teams dynamic view. It also supports Google Meet.
Logitech Sight costs $1,999 (£2,199) and consists of a pair of 4K cameras and seven beam-forming microphones for anyone on the phone.

The company cites Microsoft’s 2022 Work Trend Index: Annual Report’s survey, which shows that 43% of remote employees don’t feel “engaged” in their meetings, which Logitech hopes to solve with the Logitech Sight.
It’s designed to work with the $3,999 (£3,599) Logitech Rally Bar or the $2,999 (£2,699) Logitech Rally Bar Mini, which are usually mounted at the front of the room to give an overall view of the meeting participants.
Also supported is the company’s $1,199 (£1,199) Scribe camera that showcases whiteboard artwork directly in online conversations, but early adopters will have to wait a while before taking full advantage of the add-on.
According to Logitech, the RightSight feature will arrive “later after launch” and can automatically determine which camera to use, switching between the Rally bar on the front and the Sight module on the tabletop.
Logitech says setup should be “intuitive” [switch] between CCTV footage of face-to-face interactions and natural conversation tracking,” extending coverage to non-verbal cues.
IT teams can manage their installation with the free Logitech Sync software, including update rollout and troubleshooting.
When it ships in mid-2023, Logitech promises “responsible origin packaging” and manufacturing using “lower impact materials” such as recycled plastics and low-carbon aluminum.
