Logan Paul’s young professional wrestling career just achieved its first major achievement when he captured the United States Championship title at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

Paul was seen on the ropes late in the match putting on a pair of brass knuckles – which was illegal in this championship fight.

He used them to deliver the final blow to the reigning champion – Rey Mysterio – putting him on a three-count to claim the title.

Paul was handed the brass knuckles by a member of his ‘entourage’, but Mysterio was able to prevent his first attempt to use them.

One of Mysterio’s partners in his ‘Latino World Order’ – Santos Escobar – chased away Paul’s friend who tried to retrieve the weapon.

Paul caught titleholder Rey Mysterio with brass knuckles before pinning him to the mat

Afterwards, WWE legend Triple H congratulated Paul, who has a belt after just eight fights

But as Escobar chased Paul’s henchman, he left the brass knuckles in the ring.

Despite being ready for Mysterio’s signature ‘619’ move, he caught him with a right hand, leading to the pinfall.

Earlier in the match, Paul appeared to save Mysterio from a potentially serious injury. He caught him in the air because it looked like the belt holder was going to hit his head on the mat.

Afterwards, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H posed for a photo with Paul and said: ‘Just eight matches into his career, @LoganPaul has cemented his place in the world of sports entertainment… and now he has the hardware to prove it . . Congratulations to your new United States Champion, “The Maverick” Logan Paul.”

Paul is fresh off a boxing victory over MMA fighter Dillon Danis – and with WrestleMania about six months away, he may be able to stay on WWE programming for the next few weeks.
