Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics were unable to reach the woman safely by road due to flooding in the Lockyer Valley region.
Fortunately, the woman’s neighbor, who is a veterinarian, was able to provide initial care until the helicopter could land on the property at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
She was then stabilized by the crew for her flight to Toowoomba.
However, due to weather conditions, the woman was flown to Toowoomba RACQ LifeFlight Rescue base where she was met by paramedics who then took her to Toowoomba Hospital.
