Local Arizona news anchor Ana Orsini has died at the age of 28.
Her death was announced by her CBS affiliate KOLD News13 colleagues, Tyler Butler and Carsyn Currier in last night’s segment.
Her cause of death has not yet been announced.
‘Our beloved friend and co-presenter Ana Orsini passed away unexpectedly last week.
“We had the opportunity to work with her every day, and we want you to know that what you saw with her on the air, the funny, crazy person that she was, she was that way off camera too,” Butler said. in the air.
Currier tearfully added that they were “devastated” by the news as both presenters held hands.
Her career began in 2018 in Lubbock, Texas, where she worked as an anchor/reporter after graduating from Texas A&M University.
She then spent three years at NewsWatch 12 before joining KOLD’s team in Tucson, Arizona in June 2023.

Following the devastating announcement, both anchors shared photos of the late anchor on their social media and remembered her fondly.
“We have some really sad news to share this morning. Our beloved Ana Orsini TV passed away suddenly at the end of last week. She was truly one of a kind.
‘She was passionate about helping animals, had a wonderful and sarcastic sense of humor and was so devoted to her family. She loved her family and talked about it all the time. I’m glad I’ve been a small part of her work family.
“Take a moment today to think of Ana. A time when she made you laugh or think about something in a different way. She was still too young, but we can always remember her. We will repeat her mantra in the years to come. “Let the women do the work!”, Butler wrote in one Facebook post.
Currier, who described Orsini as the “Bratz doll to her Barbie doll,” recalled the young anchor’s joyful energy and love for her family in a lengthy story. Instagram post.
While I don’t have enough time to truly describe the incredible person that Ana Orsini was, there are a few things I would like to say in memory of one of my best friends. Not only was Ana beautiful, talented, and hilarious, but she was unlike anyone I’ve ever met.
“Knowing Ana meant loving her. She made everyone around her feel so special, heard and understood. Waking up in the middle of the night to go to work is always a challenge, but knowing I was going to work with Ana made it much easier.

‘When I first met Ana, she was sitting at her desk, covered from head to toe in pink. She was brave and fearless, and knew how to run a newsroom with just a look. She never shied away from being her authentic self and encouraged others to find their path.
“I will never forget the wisdom she gave me and the happiness I have for being her friend. Aside from her steadfast nature, Ana was one of the most compassionate people I have ever met, and that is palpable in every aspect of her life.
“She led with a genuine heart full of love for the people in her newsroom, in her community, and for people she had not yet met.
“She also taught me how to find and believe in my own experience, strength, and hope before I knew they existed. I hope I will never forget the lessons she taught me and that I continue to learn every day tribute read in part.
It remains unclear when a cause for her death will be released.
