Lizzo reveals everything she eats in a day after slamming Ozempic rumors
Lizzo revealed in a video on Thursday that she has ditched veganism in favor of an omnivorous high-protein diet.
The 36-year-old rapper and singer explained her new approach to food to fans in a clip showing everything she eats in a given day now that she’s added animal protein back into her diet.
She gave a glimpse into a day in her life after showing off her impressive weight loss and slimmed down figure in recent weeks.
Lizzo may also have wanted to clarify what she has been eating lately, after previously spreading rumors that she has been taking Ozempic-like weight loss drugs to help achieve her slimmer appearance.
She opened her video in a brown dress that accentuated her curves as she held a lettuce wrap with some meat and tomatoes towards the camera.

Lizzo started with a glass of simple lemon water, followed by a plate of mixed fruits (grapes and pineapple), ham-lined protein cups, and a hash brown made from cauliflower.
The Truth Hurts singer took a bite of each on camera before putting the food back on her plate.
Next was a glass of surprisingly syrupy ‘okra water’, which she drank while getting her hair cut.
Lizzo demonstrated how thick the brew was by dipping her straw into the glass and then pulling it out and watching as a syrupy string dangled from it.
For lunch, she had a buffalo chicken lettuce wrap with lots of mustard, and cooled down with a pitcher of peach iced tea that she poured into a giant, bright pink Stanley cup.
Lizzo donned a pair of sunglasses and a yellow graphic T-shirt for her next meal, which she ate on a patio.
She dined from a plastic container with a grilled chicken breast, garnished with carrots and asparagus.
Lizzo made up for the audio-free video by adding her own story explaining her decision to give up her vegan diet in favor of an omnivorous diet.
“My reintroduction to protein came from Japan,” she said, explaining that a trip to the Asian country left her feeling fantastic after eating fresh sushi and “fluffy” eggs.
“I was surprised at how good my body felt the next day,” she admitted.
Since adding animal protein back into her diet, Lizzo thought it helped her “gain more energy, lose weight” and deal with the “mental fog” she was suffering from.

Despite leaving veganism behind, she said she still felt it was the healthiest option, and aspired to one day become a “raw, alkaline vegan.”
However, there is little scientific support for the purported health benefits of an alkaline diet – although an emphasis on avoiding processed foods can be helpful – and many vegetables are better digested after cooking.
Lizzo closed the video by declaring that she wouldn’t judge anyone else on their diet, whether they were raw vegans or carnivores.
Some of her fans in the comments didn’t appreciate her rejection of veganism, even though it was just a personal choice and not a total rejection of philosophy.
One angry person took issue with her calling herself a person “who added protein to her diet,” calling the phrase “honestly so inaccurate.”
“You already have protein in your vegan diet, honey. You just added dead animals to your diet, that’s the right word. Xoxo,” they wrote.
“Veganism is not a diet,” someone else wrote, apparently meaning it was more than just a weight loss strategy.
Others wondered how she could get past the “cruelty” they say is inherent in animal food production.

In recent weeks she has dismissed rumors that she has been taking an Ozempic-like drug to help her lose weight. Instead, she attributed the weight loss to a healthier diet and exercise, along with more mindful eating (right, in 2022)
One person even accused Lizzo of “never” being vegan, seemingly accusing her of not faithfully following the plant-based diet.
Lizzo’s focus on her diet comes after weeks of highlighting her weight loss on social media.
The body-positive artist stripped down to her underwear to reveal her progress so far, but she took umbrage at the suggestion that her weight loss was anything other than the product of a healthier diet, more mindful eating and regular exercise.
Last month, she took to Instagram to complain about “finally getting it.”[ting] ozempic accusations after 5 months of strength training and calorie deficit.’
