Lizzo debuts super short ‘Beyonce’ bangs for her Special Tour in Cleveland

Lizzo debuted a super short set of “Beyonce” bangers for her Special Tour over the weekend in Cleveland, Ohio.

The About Damn Time hitmaker, 35 – who recently rocked a low-cut purple dress for a performance – posted a collection of selfies to Instagram showing off her edgy look.

“Short bangs gave until she didn’t,” Lizzo captioned her glamorous slideshow.

The singer added a clip of her speaking to fans from the Cleveland stage while showing off her bangs in a dazzling green bodysuit.

“Okay, I tried a short fringe tonight. I wanted to do something special for you, so I tried on a super short bang. With all these god**mn Beyonce fans, the damn bangs are growing up. But do I look like a goddamn rock star!?’

Lizzo received a lot of love from fans in her comment section on Instagram where she has over 13 million followers.

Lizzo is currently in the middle of her ongoing The Special Tour, which kicked off last September.

The singer’s series of shows was intended to support her most recently released album, Special.

The record, which peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart, debuted last July to generally positive reviews from critics.

The artist kicked off her tour with a sold-out performance at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida.

Lizzo was supported on her tour by acts such as Latto, Saucy Santana and Bree Runway, completing several European dates in February and March.

The hitmaker also garnered a lot of attention after bringing several drag queens to the stage at her April show in Knoxville, Tennessee, in protest of state policies regarding public drag performances.

However, the singer’s tour was not without problems, as she previously canceled her planned stop in Montreal after flu-like symptoms.

Lizzo was then forced to cancel her scheduled show in Hartford, Connecticut, and she released a video letting her fans know she had strep throat. The shows were moved to June 11 and 13, respectively.

The hitmaker’s tour is currently wrapping up with a performance at Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival on July 30.

On Saturday night, Lizzo posed in a short video posted to Instagram showing off her glittery jumpsuit.

She captioned the post: “No one does it like a custom @yitty powersuit.”

The video was shot before she cut her hair. Lizzo wore a glamorous multi-colored makeup palette and her long bangs were styled to her chest.
