Lizzo fielded questions in her first television interview from her Los Angeles home in an upcoming interview on CBS Sunday Morning.
The 34-year-old singer was asked by correspondent Tracy Smith, 54, about owning her first home in a sneak peek shared Thursday.
Let’s talk about this: your house. I mean, just 10 years ago you were sleeping in your car,” Tracy said as she sat across from Lizzo in her new home festooned with multiple Christmas trees.

‘Yes Yes. And, like, woo, staying in people’s rooms and sleeping on their couches,” Lizzo said.
‘And now, on this past tour, where I was lucky enough to, you know, stay in really nice places, but I was like, ‘I miss home.’ Like, I can’t wait to get back to my own home and bed.” And I was like, “This is the first time I’ve said this.” Then I do not know. It is a milestone for me,” she added.
Lizzo also talked about the holidays, her favorite Christmas dishes, and having multiple Christmas trees inside and out.
“It’s like not having things for a long time, and now [that] Got it, I’m going overboard. I’m literally Santa Claus,” Lizzo said.

Appearing as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live, Lizzo sparked an outpouring of emotions as she recreated a beloved work of art while paying homage to Annie Lee’s famous painting Blue Monday during her performance of Break Up Twice.
She was wearing a white slip as she sat on a bed in an ensemble created to match the background of the painting.
Musical Guest: Appearing as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live, Lizzo elicited an outpouring of emotions as she recreated a beloved work of art while paying homage to Annie Lee’s famous painting Blue Monday during her performance of Break Up Twice.
The painting is a self-portrait of the artist, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 79. She did not paint her face on the woman so that others could identify with her emotion.
Other pieces of his art have appeared on television shows like The Cosby Show and A Different World.
Lizzo earlier this month accepted the People’s Champion award at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards and quickly shared it with 17 women advocates she brought to the stage.
