Lizzie’s outing comes after she revealed her home was recently targeted by suspected burglars while she was in the property, leaving her completely ‘terrified’.

The socialite took to Instagram last month to reveal the ‘terrifying’ ordeal, claiming the scary incident happened while she was in the bath.

She shared more details with MailOnline as she told how she heard a ‘huge bang’ from downstairs while her entire house was in complete darkness apart from the light in the bathroom.

Lizzie said she “couldn’t move in fear” because she didn’t know what was going on. She claimed it was a local farmer who called the police after allegedly seeing two men outside her home.

She said the farmer “scared” the men and they drove straight through her fence as they tried to flee, but as they drove at high speed they overturned the car and ran away.

Lizzie shared her relief that the suspected burglars had failed to break into her home, claiming she was targeted because the men thought the property was empty and she was still on holiday in Barbados.

She told MailOnline of the ordeal: ‘I heard a loud noise downstairs like someone was trying to get into my house. I couldn’t move from fear! I was sitting in the bath with the bathroom door open.

‘I had just stepped into a relaxing bath after a delicious dinner with a friend. The last thing I expected was this!

‘The only light in the house was in the bathroom. Everything was in the dark, for I went straight to bed and was alone in the house.

“It was very scary,” she added, claiming it could have been a very different story if police had not arrived at her home so quickly.
