Liz Cambage: Guess who? Aussie sports star looks unrecognisable as she gets VERY glammed up in incredibly revealing new modelling shoot

  • New look is a total transformation for a big name
  • Aussie is no stranger to controversy
  • Modeled for fashion designer Mowalola Ogunlesi

Controversial basketball star Liz Cambage has completely transformed in a stunning modeling shoot with a leading fashion designer.

The 32-year-old is virtually unrecognizable in the racy photos she shot in collaboration with fashionista Mowalola Ogunlesi – and her Instagram followers were shocked and impressed by her new look when she posted the results on social media.

In some photos, Cambage can be seen modeling a form-fitting white zip-up dress, while others show her dressed in nothing but a barely visible fur creation that struggles to cover her 206cm frame.

Fans of the former Opals star couldn’t hide their surprise when they saw her new look, which saw her makeup applied in a way that was a radical departure from anything she has modeled before.

‘Wow, is that you? What a beautiful metamorphosis!’ wrote one.

Other comments on the post included “I didn’t recognize you,” “A completely different person in these photos,” and “Wow, you don’t look like yourself.”

Cambage is known for her love of bold fashion and beauty, and was recently spotted getting a skin treatment in Melbourne after winning her first Women’s Chinese Basketball Association championship with the SiChuan Yuanda team.

In April, Cambage again courted controversy by being ejected from a match in China for viciously elbowing one opponent in the head and punching another in the face.

Despite being kicked out of the match, Cambage was far from done.

After refusing to leave the court while trying to get officials to watch the incident on video, she charged at a referee in a threatening manner and shouted in his face, before taunting the crowd and taking a bow.

The former WNBA player and Australian Opal saw her career on the rocks after she allegedly made racist comments against the Nigerian national team during a warm-up match for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

Opals teammates and members of the Nigerian team alleged Cambage called her opponents “monkeys” and told them to “go back to your third world country” during a stoppage in play.

That sidelined her against her Nigerian-American Los Angeles Sparks teammates and she was eventually released by the franchise.

Her comments also divided the Opals camp and she has since been blacklisted from never representing her country again.

However, she hit the jackpot when she landed a contract with SiChuan Yuanda, with the team reportedly paying her $1 million for three months of work, which ended with her winning the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association championship earlier this year.

With the Opals gearing up for a tough campaign at the Paris Olympics, several online commentators said they were happy Cambage would not be part of the tournament once they saw why she was kicked out of the competition in China.

“I’m a proud Australian but Liz is an embarrassment not only to most Australians but to all those ‘honest’ players and spectators who follow sport around the world,” one follower wrote.

“Liz has some issues she needs to sort out,” wrote a second.

‘What a waste of talent. Could have gone down in history as one of the greatest of all time if she wasn’t such a magnet for drama.

“So glad they got her out of the Opals. Her behavior is downright embarrassing,” a third added.
