Talented Liverpool youngster Lewis Koumas is in the middle of a tug-of-war between England and Wales over which country he should represent.
Koumas, 17, is wanted by Wales under-19s for their two games against Sweden in June, but England have also taken note of the young striker and asked about his availability for their under-18 internationals against Norway and Australia in Lisbon.
The Anfield prospect joined Liverpool aged 11 and signed his first professional contract in January after turning 17.
He made his EFL Trophy debut alongside Stefan Bajcetic last year and also impressed, scoring goals in the UEFA Youth League.
Gareth Bale is one of the players who have already expressed an interest in the starlet’s developing career, which will give Welsh fans hope that he will eventually commit to Cymru.

Koumas is expected to be part of Liverpool’s under-21 side in the Premier League II next season, despite his age.
In addition to his international options, he would also be eligible to play for Cyprus through his family.
