LiverOol will have to do without goalkeeper Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota until after next month’s international break.
Becker has a hamstring injury, Alexander-Arnold aggravated a knee problem that kept him sidelined in January and Jones has an ankle injury with none expected to return before the March 31 Premier League match against Brighton.
“Ali, muscle injury, it will really take time after the international break,” assistant manager Pep Lijnders said ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.
‘Trent, lateral ligament. That will certainly be the case after the international break. Jots, medial ligament. That will certainly be the case after the international break.
‘Curtis has a high ankle strain. He will be (back) in and around the international break.”

‘After the international break means we don’t know for sure (the exact date).’
The fitness of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlai is being monitored and it will be decided late on Sunday whether they can feature.
