Red Bull Salzburg have completed the signing of talented Bobby Clark from Liverpool, signing a contract worth £10 million.
Clark broke through last season and excelled despite the injury crisis. The former Newcastle youth player played in the Carabao Cup final, won by the club at Wembley.
The 19-year-old has since moved to Austria after the club successfully completed their third bid.
He was impressed by former Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders and coach Vitor Matos, who now hold sway at Salzburg.
Liverpool retain a 17.5 percent sell-on clause in the deal and will also receive matching rights – meaning they will have the chance to match any offer made for Clark in the future.

Clark is the latest young star to leave Anfield since the arrival of new Reds manager Arne Slot
Clark was unable to take part in the Reds’ pre-season training due to a back injury, but he is now doing well again.
His sale will bring in more cash for Liverpool after Fabio Carvalho moved to Brentford for £27.5million and will face the Reds at Anfield on Sunday.
Clark said: ‘After three fantastic years at Liverpool I have decided it is time for a new challenge.
‘I have learnt so much during my time at the club and am very grateful for the opportunities and experiences I have had. Thank you to all the fans who have supported me.’
The Bees are also in advanced talks to sign Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg for around £25million, but face competition from Bayer Leverkusen.
Clark’s departure follows the departure of Fabio Carvalho to Brentford this summer
Meanwhile, young Reds player Harvey Blair is also set to join Championship club Portsmouth.
The 20-year-old forward has been featured during Liverpool’s US tour but is now in talks to join John Mousinho’s side for a transfer fee believed to be around £300,000.
