Liverpool striker Lewis Koumas is being asked questions by Championship teams Sheffield United and West Bromwich Albion.

The 19-year-old impressed while on loan at Stoke City, where he has played regularly. He has made 29 appearances so far this season, scoring four goals.

Despite Stoke struggling to stay out of the relegation places and recently changing managers, appointing Mark Robins last week, Liverpool remain happy with his progress and the experience he is gaining.

Koumas has also continued his international career with Wales, continuing to recognize his development and earning him five full caps since the summer.

Promotion hunters have also been keeping a close eye on his form this season.

Sheffield United are long-time admirers, while West Brom, where his father Jason played, and Watford are all eyeing Koumas as a striker who could give them an extra edge in the crucial second half of the season.

However, Stoke remain hopeful they can keep him as they look to make a late attack on the table themselves.

Koumas joined from Tranmere as an Under 11 player – much to the frustration of the local League Two club – and pushed his way to the fringes of the first-team reckoning last year, going on a pre-season tour and making his debut . .
