Liverpool stabbing: Watch the horrifying moment a Good Samaritan is knifed in the chest after rushing to the aid of a woman

CCTV footage shows a Good Samaritan was stabbed multiple times after coming to the aid of a woman who had been attacked.

The 44-year-old man remains in hospital after he was repeatedly stabbed early on Sunday morning on Liverpool’s main street in Sydney’s south-west.

CCTV footage captured on Macquarie Street at around 2.22am showed a man being shot, followed by a woman trying to grab him before pushing herself away.

Police allege the man had earlier attacked the woman in a parked car, at which point the Good Samaritan, who did not know the pair, intervened.

The surveillance camera shows the Good Samaritan seeing a man and a woman fighting near a car.

He took off his jacket and walked over to the man to end the argument.

The man was seen pulling a knife from his car before approaching the Good Samaritan, who was stabbed multiple times.

The Good Samaritan flees clutching his wounds as the man with the knife gives chase but stumbles to the ground.
