According to reports, Liverpool have appointed a Barcelona duo to replace Mohamed Salah if the striker is offered a move to Saudi Pro League team Al-Ittihad.
Some Barcelona players are reportedly unhappy with the situation at the club and could try to negotiate a departure this summer, with Liverpool eyeing Ezra Abde and Ansu Fati.
The duo are still not convinced they will get regular playing time under Xavi this season, and if Salah leaves, both will be targeted by Liverpool, it has been reported SPORT.
Liverpool remain determined to hold on to their Egyptian star but could be convinced by a mega money offer that could force their hand to raise money.
That would leave the Anfield club tasked with looking for new talent before the transfer window closes on Friday, with a move to Barcelona planned.

Abde is another Barcelona star for whom Liverpool are considering a possible late transfer
The LaLiga champions have started the new season well, winning two games and drawing one, but have a dressing room full of players looking for more regular minutes.
Fati and Abde are part of a growing collective of players unhappy with the way they are being treated by Xavi, with the Spanish media describing the situation as a ‘hornet’s nest’.
Former Manchester City defender Eric Garcia is another player looking to leave the Camp Nou, but Xavi wants to keep him due to his versatility in different positions.
Salah is one of Liverpool’s main assets but is considering offers to move to the Middle East as Al Ittihad prepares a £118 million bid for the winger.
Meanwhile, Fati was previously regarded as one of the most promising talents in world football, having burst onto the podium four years ago.

However, the Spain international has struggled to copy that form and has fallen down the pecking order at Camp Nou as teammates Pedri and Gavi cemented their starting position under Xavi.
Liverpool join Spurs and Chelsea, who are also poised to take a step forward in a bid to bolster their attacks.
Securing an exit for 21-year-old Abde could prove to be a more difficult task as Barcelona are not looking to lose any more depth in attack after Ousmane Dembele leaves for PSG.
The winger has made two substitute appearances in Barcelona’s first three LaLiga matches this season and also has offers from Betis and Sevilla.
