Liverpool: Man in his 30s dies after turning up to hospital with a gunshot wound in the middle of the night

a The man who reported to hospital in the early morning hours with a gunshot wound later died in hospital.

Detectives are appealing for information from the public after the man suffered suspected shotgun wounds in hospital in Sydney’s south-west early on Saturday morning.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were called at 1.20am after the man walked into Liverpool Hospital.

The patient, believed to be a man in his thirties, died a short time later. He has yet to be formally identified.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s homicide unit are investigating, with the death believed to be linked to criminal gangs.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Liverpool Police or Crime Stoppers.
