Liverpool flop eyes Premier League return despite unsuccessful loan from Juventus last season

Liverpool flop sees Premier League return despite failed loan from Juventus last season…with TWO top flyers ready to give the midfielder a second chance

  • Juventus’ Arthur Melo is eager for a new spell at a Premier League club
  • Arthur made just one appearance during his injury-plagued spell at Liverpool
  • Two Premier League clubs are interested in a deal for Arthur

Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo wants to hit the Premier League again after his unfavorable stay at Liverpool.

The Brazilian tore a thigh, putting his loan spell at Anfield in jeopardy, but he is keen to leave Italy and has two Premier League teams waiting in the wings.

Liverpool have been probed for Bayern Munich’s versatile right-back Benjamin Pavard.

The 27-year-old Frenchman is also interested from Paris Saint-Germain, but Liverpool would ideally like a centre-back on the left and could give a breakthrough chance to right-back Conor Bradley, who impressed on loan at Bolton Wanderers last season.

Liverpool’s other right-back Calvin Ramsay is a loan target for Preston North End.

Arthur made just one appearance for Liverpool, who played against Napoli in the Champions League in September last year, when he played 13 minutes.

Arthur’s contract with Juventus has two years left, but he could leave the club.

Arthur joined Juventus in 2020 and made 63 appearances for the Italian club.

Before that, Arthur played for Gremio and Barcelona.
