Liverpool fans rage as it’s confirmed that Man City will wear the World Champions badge for the remainder of Premier League season after they were stopped from doing so four years ago
Man City will wear the 2023 FIFA World Champions badge on their shirts in all their remaining Premier League matches this season and Liverpool supporters are less than happy about it.
City added to last season's Club World Cup win with an emphatic 4-0 win over Brazilian side Fluminense in Jeddah on Friday.
Julian Alvarez struck twice to put them ahead after just 40 seconds and notch up the win late on, while Phil Foden forced an own goal and grabbed the other himself.
Teams that win the competition will be allowed to wear a special gold badge on their shirts until the next winner is crowned this time next year.
It has been confirmed that City will do this with immediate effect and this has not gone down well with Liverpool fans.

The Reds won the Club World Cup in 2019, beating Flamengo in the final.
However, they had to wait until the following season before they could wear the badge at the top level as Premier League rules at the time stated that no kit changes could be made during the campaign.
This ruling was quickly changed and Chelsea were allowed to do the same when they triumphed in 2021.
Liverpool fans were angry then and now they are tweeting again: 'Premier League always prefers Man City'.
Another tweeted: 'City and Chelsea can wear it, Liverpool can't. Just say…'
One wrote; 'I remember we weren't allowed to wear the World Champions badge and joked that if it was City they would certainly allow it.'
It was manager Pep Guardiola's fourth win in the competition, but one that came at the expense of influential midfielder Rodri, who had to leave with an injury in the second half.
City, who were once again without striker Erling Haaland due to a foot problem, must now anxiously await the Spaniard's fitness ahead of the resumption of their Premier League title defense against Everton next Wednesday.
Rodri, who limped off after a challenge from Alexsander, has already missed four games through suspension this season and City have lost them all.
Liverpool host title rivals Arsenal in the big match of the weekend on Saturday evening.
However, City can for now celebrate their fifth trophy of 2023, after also winning the European Super Cup in August.
They were far too strong for the aging Copa Libertadores winners, who repeatedly put pressure on themselves.
