Liverpool ‘has held talks with representatives of RB Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai’, but his £60m release clause ‘expires Friday’.
The 22-year-old was one of the stars in the Bundesliga last season and was also interesting for Newcastle.
According to the athleticsthe Reds are exploring a deal to sign him this summer, while accepting it will be a tough move to cross the line.
On June 30 (next Friday), Szoboszlai’s release clause expires, according to Fabrizio Romano.
So Liverpool must act quickly if they don’t want to risk Leipzig raising the fee for one of their top talents.

Szoboszlai is considered high on the agenda for Jurgen Klopp’s side, along with Kephren Thuram and Romeo Lavia.

The Hungarian represented his national team 32 times and scored 10 times for Leipzig in 48 games last season.
Eddie Howe’s Newcastle is another Premier League club believed to have an interest in Szoboszlai.
And with Tottenham closing in on a deal for James Maddison, the Magpies can redouble their efforts.
Newcastle have already signed Sandro Tonali from AC Milan for £55 million and adding Szoboszlai would be a real statement of intent.
Liverpool’s intentions to strengthen their midfield are well known and they have already signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton for £35m.
Szoboszlai helped RB Leipzig to the German Cup last season and played an important role
Thuram, who currently plays for France under-21 at the European Championship, is highly regarded at the Anfield club, although it remains to be seen whether Nice are prepared to sell.
Lavia is now interesting for a number of top Premier League teams, including Arsenal and Chelsea.
But with the Gunners planning to spend more than £100million on Declan Rice, it could reduce their chances of another significant outlay on a central midfielder.
