Liverpool are exploring the possibility of signing Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili for around £35m, with the possibility of him being loaned out afterwards.
The 23-year-old Georgia international is seen as a potential long-term investment, but Liverpool do not need a new goalkeeper this summer unless Caoimhin Kelleher leaves.
Mamardashvili’s contract with the LaLiga club is expected to expire in 2027.
The goalkeeper, who graduated from the Dinamo Tbilisi youth academy, joined Valencia permanently in 2022 after a loan spell at the club and has since become the Spanish club’s first choice.
He also played in all of Georgia’s matches at Euro 2024, helping them qualify for the round of 16 via Group F. His team defeated Portugal 2–0 in the final group match.
Liverpool are investigating a move for Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili and could send the keeper out on loan if he joins the club.

Any signing will depend on whether Caoimhin Kelleher, who impressed for the Reds last season, leaves the club
Liverpool were forced to rely on Kelleher for a large portion of the 2023-24 season after regular goalkeeper Alisson was sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Kelleher, 25, shone when replacing his Brazilian team-mate and particularly impressed during Liverpool’s successful Carabao Cup run last season.
Mail Sport previously reported that the Irishman’s performances had attracted the attention of some in Europe, with Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo being an admirer of the goalkeeper.
Brentford have meanwhile confirmed the arrival of Liverpool midfielder Fabio Carvalho for £27.5million.
Kelleher replaced Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson (pictured), who spent much of last season sidelined with a soft tissue injury.

Both Leicester and Southampton have tried to sign the promising 21-year-old, but he will return to London after joining the Reds from Fulham for £5million two years ago.
The Portugal international, who played for England at age level, was loaned to RB Leipzig and Hull during his time at Anfield.
