Liverpool confirm the £16m signing of Stuttgart star Wataru Endo as Jurgen Klopp finally lands a defensive midfield option

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Stuttgart midfielder Wataru Endo for £16 million.

The Reds were keen to sign a defensive midfield option this summer after missing out on deals with Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

In his first interview with the club, he said: ‘I’m really happy at the moment and I’m so excited to be joining a big club in Liverpool.

“It feels great and this is my dream. It has always been a dream to play (in the) Premier League and for one of the biggest clubs in the world. It’s a dream come true for me.’
