Fans have accused Liverpool of copying Arsenal’s corner tactics during their Boxing Day win over Leicester City.
The Reds built a seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League as they came from behind to beat the Foxes 3-1 at Anfield.
And viewers watching the match noticed something familiar about their approach to corner kicks.
They claimed it was strikingly similar to the routine with which Arsenal have had so much success in recent times.
The Gunners have become kings, scoring 22 goals from corners since the start of last season.
The North London club likes to position a block of players at the back post, with the group holding their position until the corner is taken.

They then spread forward and cause chaos in the opposition’s penalty area.
And this was more or less what Liverpool did on Thursday evening, even if they did not achieve success.
“Liverpool copying Arsenal’s corner routine,” one wrote with a series of laughing emojis, while another said: “Is it me or does this corner routine look familiar?”

Another posted: ‘Liverpool fans cried over the Arsenal corners for months just because their team would copy it play by play.
Others highlighted the lack of effectiveness compared to their title rivals.
One wrote: ‘So let me get this straight, every Liverpool FT account, fan, Carragher making fun of Arsenal corners day in and day out.
‘Just to try to copy them so that it seems impossible to score one.’
Arne Slot told his Liverpool team to use Manchester City’s collapse as a warning that their comfortable position at the top of the Premier League could fall apart very quickly if they are not careful.
And Slot said the speed at which City fell from leaders to seventh should be a clear warning. “When you’re in this game for a long time and you know 20 games before the end, you don’t look at the table,” he said.
‘It was only a month ago that we were one point behind City and look what has happened.
‘This could happen to any team. It’s still far too early to celebrate. You, like me, have competed in all these competitions and there haven’t been many easy wins.
‘That tells you how difficult it is to win when all your players are available. We just have to take it one game at a time.”
