A 50-inch Fire TV for $149? Yes please

I’ve mentioned this one before in the quick overview of TV deals, but it bears repeating because it really is such a good price for a TV of this size. Yes, it’s part of the nonsense of invite-only offers to create false scarcity, but I definitely think you should register your interest. It’s a bargain if you can get it.

I spy with my little eye: a bargain Blink camera

Just like during the previous Prime Day, fellow deals editor Mackenzie Frazier bought one of these cheap Blink Mini security cameras. And now you can add the compact smart security camera to your home at a bargain price.

Okay, a small confession: this is not a record-low price. It was actually $2 cheaper during the previous Prime Day. I’m sorry, but what does $2 worth to friends cost at the end of the day?

Alexa, tell me the best smart speaker deal from this sale

Okay, I’ve found one result for the best smart speaker deal in the Prime Big Deal Days sale. It’s this Echo Dot (5th generation) for $22.99. It’s a good deal because it drops the handy smart home device to its lowest price ever. People: who needs them?

I’m sorry, what was that last part, Alexa?

Nothing.

Ding-dong / Who’s there? / It’s a cheap Ring doorbell

If you like to keep an eye on the comings and goings at your front door from your smartphone, then this Ring Video Doorbell deal is a welcome guest. This also came out as the most affordable option in our guide to the best video doorbell, so be sure to buy it while it’s even cheaper.

This one sounds good to me

The Beckham Hotel Collection pillows were a best seller during last year’s Prime Day sale, and I think I’ve finally been convinced to buy the queen pillow set thanks to today’s 35% off sale, bringing the price down to $39 .75 – the lowest price we’ve seen all year.

The Beckham Hotel pillows have over 200,000 positive reviews on Amazon and are the number one best selling bed pillows. Designed to give you the feeling of sleeping in a luxurious hotel, the soft pillows are made of down and feature cooling technology with a soft cotton cover.

Story as old as time: Matt Hanson tells you to buy the MacBook Air M1

He’s at it again. Another sales event is just around the corner and Matt Hanson is barking at us all to buy the MacBook Air M1 again. There is no negotiating with our editor-in-chief of computer affairs. It is impossible to reason with it. Feels no pity, remorse or fear. And this definitely won’t stop until more people have the MacBook Air M1.

“Although it was first released three years ago, it’s still a brilliant laptop, delivering excellent performance in a thin and light chassis,” he says. “And with this discount it is now cheaper than ever.”

I ask that you please pick up the MacBook Air and let him know. This way he can finally rest.

Admittedly, this is the record low price for a fantastic and powerful all-round laptop and – oh no, it happens to me too…

What’s in a name?

A point of much discussion here at TechRadar is Amazon’s decision to use the name Prime Big Deal Days for this week’s sale. Since the announcement, several team members have called it a variety of names that include all of these words, but not necessarily in the correct order. Amazon’s Big Prime Deals Days were my favorite.

It’s a minor thing, of course, but let’s be real Amazon… it rolls off the tongue so awkwardly that it might as well be a Kingdom Hearts subtitle. And hey, Amazon Prime Day is here, folks. You know, the name you’ve used for your exclusive 48-hour sale on Prime for the past decade. I understand you might want to differentiate it a bit, but was Amazon Prime Day 2 or Prime Day October really off the table?

At least last year it was called Prime Early Access Deals, which made more sense since it served as a preview of the Amazon Black Friday sale. Prime Big Deal Days just seems like a cumbersome word soup in comparison.

Anyway, I’m rambling. What do you think of the name? Does it even matter? Does anyone care, or just me?

Do you want TVs? I have TVs starting at $69.99

Amazon Fire TVs include everything from cheap and budget-friendly displays to more premium sets with the latest technology and features. Whatever you’re looking for, they remain affordable options – especially with these early deals ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, which have dropped many Fire TVs to their lowest prices ever.

These are strong deals on many TVs that haven’t been this low before, so we recommend them if you’re ready to buy today.

Keep in mind that the top two are part of the invite-only offers that you’ll need to register for to get a chance to buy when Prime Big Deal Days start tomorrow. However, it’s worth it for any of these TVs as they offer great value for the offer price.

Ah, this old favorite

There’s absolutely no need to wait until tomorrow if you’re planning on purchasing one of Amazon’s popular streaming devices, as the Fire TV Stick 4K Max has been slashed to its cheapest price ever ahead of Prime Big Deal Days.

I recommend this as a simple and affordable way to stream ultra-high definition 4K resolution video on any TV with an HDMI port.

In our Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max review, we found this version pushed the streaming stick to its limits with excellent performance for the price and did everything you need to watch shows and movies in 4K. The accessibility features were also useful, including voice control to make navigation easier and connect to other smart home devices.
