Rahm will captain the new team starting at LIV Golf Mayakoba, which begins next Friday at El Camaleon Golf Course in Playa del Carmen.

“Tyrrell is a fierce competitor, proven champion and of course my Ryder Cup teammate. Caleb is one of the game’s brightest next-gen stars.

“And Kieran is a steady, talented ball striker who has earned his promotion to LIV and is taking his game to the next level every day.”

Hatton has represented Europe in each of the past three Ryder Cups and played alongside Rahm in last year’s victory in Rome.

The 32-year-old, who won his first PGA Tour title at the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational, is currently ranked 16th in the world.

“I’m very excited about this next chapter, working with Jon Rahm and Legion XIII, and getting started in Mexico this week,” said Hatton, whose career earnings are approaching $22 million.

Surratt, meanwhile, is the reigning individual SEC champion. The sophomore from Tennessee, one of the top-ranked amateurs in golf, turns pro and joins LIV Golf.
