A popular frozen meal for young children has been urgently recalled after black rubber was discovered in the batch.
Food Standards Australia on Monday recalled Patties Food Group’s Little Meals Beef Cottage Pie 200g after the presence of foreign material was discovered.
The FSA advised ‘consumers should not eat this product’ because it ‘may cause illness/injury if consumed’.

The batch in question had an expiration date of February 15, 2026.
The meals were sold across Australia in Woolworths, Coles and independent retailers including IGA.
Customers must return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
“All consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” the FSA said.
