Two worlds collided at the GQ Awards on Wednesday night when basketball titan Isaac Humphries met Australian pop icons The Veronicas in Sydney.
Humphries, 25, towered over twin sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso, 38, at Bondi Pavillion, with his 6ft frame looming large over the diminutive duo, who are 6ft tall.
Humphries, Basketball's first openly gay star, is an advocate for LGBTQ rights and opposed Cairns' rejection of the Pride jersey earlier this year.
He is also not only an elite basketball player, but a talented musician. Last month, Humphries was unveiled as one of the headline acts for next year's Adelaide Fringe.
The Adelaide 36ers star grew up performing on stages in Sydney, but a sudden growth spurt turned him towards basketball.

It was a welcome night off for Jessica, who is in the middle of wedding plans with her fiancé Alex Smith ahead of their big day in 2025.
The 38-year-old pop star, who attended the Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady Launch event hosted by Richard Branson on Tuesday, told Ny Breaking Australia the wedding would take place in Australia, with the couple having already set a date.
'We're getting married in 2025. That was when we were able to plan for the whole family to come to Australia,” she began.
“Alex's family all live in America and we needed enough time to make plans.”
Jess then said the ceremony would be an intimate one, reserved for family and friends.

'It's going to be a small wedding. We will both walk down the aisle, bride and groom! That's what I want on my wedding day,” she added.
The lovebirds announced their engagement in September last year.

Her romance with Alex comes after she announced her split from her American musician fiance Kai Carlton in October 2020.
