Listen to Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s daughter Sunday Rose’s extraordinary accent as she walks her first catwalk at Paris Fashion Week
Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week this week, but fans can’t seem to stop talking about her extraordinary accent.
The 16-year-old daughter of Australian stars Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman showed up at the Miu Miu Spring 2025 show before doing an interview for Vogue for their Instagram account on Tuesday.
But despite launching her career at one of the year’s Big Four fashion events, it’s the teen’s Australian and Tennessee twang that’s got people talking.
The aspiring model was all smiles as she introduced herself after her first walk, still wearing the white-on-white linen robe she showcased on the runway.
‘I’ve wanted to do this for so long. So when the offer came in, it was really exciting and now it’s finally here,” she said of her debut.
“I was very stressed and then… everyone here was very nice.”
Followers flocked to the comments to point out the mismatched accent Sunday spoke in, which sounded like a mix of Australian and Tennessean, where her famous parents moved before she was born.
“So the parents have an Australian accent and the kids have a Tennessee accent? It must be very funny to overhear a family conversation,” one person wrote.

‘I like her accent. Australian meets Appalachian,” said another.
A third added: “Her accent! A southern accent mixed with a hint of Australian. What a mix.’
“So both parents have Australian accents, but she doesn’t? Very confusing,” yet another commented, while another added: “Weird accent.”
Others continued to compliment the unique and bubbly accent, saying, “Aww, that accent” and, “What a cute accent!”
‘I like her accent. Aussie with some New York or something,” someone else commented.

‘She must have spent a lot of time in Australia when she was younger. “I don’t think she would have such a strong accent just because her mother has one,” said one.
Sunday made her runway debut in Paris when she walked Miu Miu’s Paris Womenswear Spring-Summer 2025 show for fashion week.
The teenager was in good company for her modeling debut, sharing the catwalk with American actors Willem Dafoe and Hillary Swank, model Amelia Gray, British rapper Little Simz and South Korean actress Nicha Yontararak, better known as Minnie.
Sunday Rose was also joined by fellow fake kid Eliot Sumner, the offspring of British rock icon Sting and his wife Trudy Styler, who also made a catwalk debut.

She looked businesslike and had a stoic expression as she walked confidently down the catwalk.
Sunday cut a stunning figure in a white sleeveless dress with a delicate ribbon embellishment from the Italian haute couture label.
Her debut was considered a resounding success by the fashion bible Fashionwho stated, “So what does this mean for Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban? If the fall 2025 collections come in February, I bet we’ll have Sundays for a month.’
Sunday’s famous mom Nicole, 57, was in attendance and the pair later stepped out together for the Miu Miu dinner.
Nicole and husband Keith, 56, welcomed their daughter Sunday in Nashville in July 2008 before giving birth to their second, Faith, in 2010.

While Nicole and Keith grew up in Australia, they later moved to Nashville just before Sunday was born while both of their daughters attended school down south.
Sunday picked up her parents’ Aussie slang, but adopted a southern accent during her childhood, leading to her mixed tone
Nicole told People Magazine in 2016, “My daughters are Nashvillians! They have a southern accent. They have some Aussie. They have an unusual mix. They’re hybrids.’
