It’s all about to begin! Presenters Chris Sutton and Ian Ladyman believe Cristiano Ronaldo will never be able to gauge the mood in the venue as he contemplates his future with Portugal.

The 39-year-old Ronaldo is still the captain of Portugal and started the Nations League campaign this week along with his international teammates.

After making his sixth appearance at the European Championship earlier this summer, Ronaldo was asked at a press conference whether he planned to retire from the national team in the near future.

He replied, “When the time comes, I will move on. It won’t be a difficult decision. If I feel like I’m not contributing anymore, I’ll be the first to leave.”

Sutton and Ladyman were amused by Ronaldo’s response. In the latest episode of the It’s All Kicking Off! podcast, they gave their verdict on the Portuguese superstar’s reluctance to step away from the international stage.
