And on Wednesday, the day after Valentine’s Day, Lisa Riley, 46, declared her love for her fiancé Al, because she felt he had “more sincerity” and was “less conformist.”

The Emmerdale actress took to Instagram, where she posted a sweet snapshot of herself with her American musician boyfriend, and included an insightful caption next to it.

Lisa wrote: ‘I love you Bubs. it feels so much better to say it today than yesterday… where everyone was FORCED to say it.

‘It seems that he has more sincerity in sharing it today… he is much less conformist. HAPPY 15 Feb ‘National I don’t want to be. A sheep day.

In August 2022, Lisa heartbreakingly revealed that she will not be marrying her fiancé Al because both of their mothers tragically passed away.

The Emmerdale star has been engaged to the musician, about whom little is known, since 2014, and he lost his mother Cath to cancer in 2012.

She told The Mirror last summer: ‘We don’t want to change anything. We both talk about it all the time and feel like as long as we’re happy we don’t need rings on our fingers.

We have lost our mothers. And when it comes to things like weddings, you do it for others.

‘I’m never going to change my name, so really, what would be different?’

Lisa’s public declaration of love for Al comes just weeks after she was reportedly re-engaged to Emmerdale.

The 46-year-old actress reprized her role as Mandy Dingle in 2019, after being a cast member from 1995 to 2000.

And according to The Sun, the TV show was keen for him to stick around longer, giving him a great new deal to stay on the ITV show.

They told the publication: ‘Keeping Lisa on the show is a huge blow to Emmerdale and the bosses are delighted to seal the deal.

“She’s a great personality both on and off the set, and Mandy is a big part of the soap opera plans.”
