Lisa Moorish’s son Astile Doherty is a dead ringer for his dad Pete as he makes rare appearance at launch party of his mum’s new album Divine Chaos

Lisa Moorish was joined by her rarely seen son Astile Doherty at the launch party for her new album Divine Chaos at The Groucho Club in London.

The 52-year-old singer was joined by her friends and family to celebrate the anniversary, including her 20-year-old son, who she shares with Pete Doherty of The Libertines.

Lisa stepped out in a daring style at the event, showing off her killer figure in a leopard print bodysuit and sheer black lace pants.

She had some lace bunny ears added to her head and wore a classic red lip as she sang a few songs for her guests.

Astile looked the spitting image of his famous father, wearing a navy blue shirt with a paisley tie and black pants with patterned suspenders.

Lisa and Pete, 45, met in 2002 while on tour with the Libertines and had a brief affair, which led to her giving birth to Astile the following year.

The musician was never allowed to see his son because of his drug addiction, but after going to rehab and kicking the habit, he became a much more active father.

Lisa told Metro in 2009: ‘Peter has had problems with his recovery from time to time, so it was a very difficult decision to make…

“But when he got out of rehab last year and started getting his life together, I thought the time was right. I want Astile to have a father.”

Pete is reported to have said, “When I can claim to have some control over my own life, I’m going to take some responsibility for Astile. I love that little guy.”

He also has a daughter, Aisling, 12, with model Lindi Hingston and welcomed his third child with wife Katia De Vidas last May – a girl named Billie-May.

Astile has not only inherited his father’s looks, but has also followed in Pete and Lisa’s footsteps by pursuing a career in music.

Earlier this year he made headlines after showcasing his unique singing talents during a Liam Gallagher tribute act in Essex.

The tribute, dubbed ‘Liam On Sea’, took place in January at The Boat Yard, where Astile works as a bartender.

He did everything he could to imitate the 51-year-old Oasis singer: he wore orange glasses, waved a tambourine enthusiastically, used lots of swear words and even put on a Manchester accent.

The decision to impersonate Liam raised eyebrows because in what is probably the messiest family tree in history, Astile’s half-sister Molly is Liam’s daughter.

The singer had 26-year-old Molly from singer Lisa in 1998, two months after he married Patsy Kensit. However, he only became involved with her in 2018.

Following his tribute, Astile took to his YouTube channel to address the backlash and clarify any assumptions.

He said, “It’s really that simple: my sister and her relationship with her father is her business.

“My relationship with Liam Gallagher – well, I haven’t seen the guy in four and a half years. I hung out with him for a while. He was a really nice guy. We got on really well.”

He added: ‘At the end of the day, it’s my sister’s father and it’s not my place to get involved in that. It’s not fair and I wouldn’t want it to be.

“I’m just as average as everyone else. Except I happen to be related to all these people. If I wasn’t related to all these people, I have no doubt that I would be a fan of all these people and I probably would still be doing something like this.”

Discussing his future plans, Astile revealed: ‘I really want to focus on my own career and do my own thing. You could say this was a stepping stone.

“I wanted to prove I could do something like this and now I want to prove I can do something else, if that makes sense.”

He also responded to speculation about Lisa’s current relationship with rock stars Liam and Pete, saying the subject should be put to rest.

He said: ‘As for my mother’s relationship with Mr Gallagher and my father and things like that, that has nothing to do with this at all.

“It’s the past. The past is the past. The future is the future and the now is more important now.”
