Lisa Marie Presley’s fourth husband, Michael Lockwood, paid tribute to his ex-wife the day after her death.

Lockwood, 61, who split from the star in 2016, said her world had “turned upside down” and she was with 14-year-old twins Finley and Harper Vivienne.

In a statement released by his lawyer Joe Yanny, he said: “Michael hoped for a quick and full recovery because his children needed it.”

“It is very sad that it did not turn out that way. Michael’s world has been turned upside down, now he is with his two daughters.

Lisa Marie Presley, 54, died Thursday after going into cardiac arrest at her Calabasas home.

Lockwood, 61, who split from the star in 2016, said her world had “turned upside down” and she was with twins Finley and Harper Vivienne.

Yanny added that Lockwood’s prayers are with Priscilla Presley and the rest of the Presley family.

The couple married in 2006 and had twin daughters together in 2008, before splitting in 2016 with a bitter divorce battle engulfing them.

Lockwood and Lisa Marie spent years fighting over finances and continued the battle until her death on Thursday.

He was seeking $40,000 a month in child support and insisted that she had more money than she claimed in court documents.

In the midst of her divorce proceedings with Lockwood, she temporarily lost custody of her twin daughters, who went to live with their mother Priscilla.

In a 2017 deposition, a year after the acrimonious separation, he admitted to abusing cocaine, opioids, painkillers and alcohol.

Lisa Marie added that she had to go to rehab “several times,” admitting to having between three and five stints in a Mexican treatment center.

She said it was a “disaster” and she “couldn’t stop,” and court documents revealed that in the last year of her marriage to Lockwood she was “terribly abusing cocaine.”

The singer added: “I didn’t mix pills and alcohol until the last two years.”

She says her therapist called her a “miracle” before adding, “I don’t know how you’re still alive.”

It is understood that the couple will split custody of their children 50/50, with Lockwood looking after them with his new wife.

After their separation, Lisa Marie she begged a judge to ‘officially declare her single’ from her estranged husband after five years apart from Lockwood, who refused a divorce.

She said there was “no hope” for the couple to reconcile and she wanted to “move on” with her life.
