Lisa Armstrong left for Portugal on Wednesday after hearing that ex-husband Ant McPartlin had become a father for the first time.
The make-up artist, 47, quickly fled the country to get away just 24 hours after Ant, 48, joyfully announced that his wife Anne-Marie, 46, had given birth to their first child Wilder Patrick.
A source told MailOnline: ‘Lisa has flown to Portugal to escape, no doubt to escape the fuss surrounding Ant’s news.’
While Ant is enjoying his baby bubble, Lisa seems to have quite a bit to digest the happy news.
Ant and Lisa, who went through a bitter divorce in 2018 after 11 years of marriage, previously revealed their ‘tough’ battle to conceive in a candid 2013 interview.

Lisa revealed on Tuesday, hours before the arrival of Ant’s baby, that she is going through “silent battles”, which she detailed in a cryptic Instagram post.
Just before Ant announced the birth of his child, Lisa took to Instagram to share a cryptic message.
“Be proud of how you have acted over the past few months,” the message read. “The silent battles you fought, the moments you had to humble yourself, the times you wiped your own tears. Celebrate your power.”
Ant also appeared to take a dig at his beloved dog Hurley in his new tattoo as a tribute to his family, after unveiling the ink for the first time on Tuesday.
The Britain’s Got Talent star shared a glimpse of the tattoo on his shoulder, which pays tribute to his wife Anne-Marie and his two stepchildren, along with their dogs Milo and Bumble.
However, one name that didn’t appear on Ant’s tattoo was his chocolate Labrador Hurley, who he shares with Lisa.
During their divorce battle, Ant is said to have told lawyers: ‘She can have anything she wants, except the dog.’
The former couple reportedly agreed to take turns caring for Hurley.

Ant and Lisa were locked in a bitter custody battle over their dog Hurley, with the presenter reportedly telling lawyers: ‘She can have anything she wants – except the dog’
The arrangement resulted in the TV presenter’s driver transporting the dog between the two of them so they didn’t have to see each other.
In February this year, it was reported that Lisa wanted her pet to live with her full-time.
She is said to have argued that it was only fair as Ant also had two maltipoo dogs – crossbreeds of Maltese and poodles – named Milo and Bumble.
Ant has been outspoken in the past about his desire to have children and spoke publicly about how he tried to have a child with his ex-wife Lisa.
The couple was childless when they filed for divorce in 2018 after eleven years of marriage. Ant and Anne-Marie married in 2021.
Hours after his wife gave birth, the presenter shared his joy that they were parents.
Ant shared an Instagram photo of himself lovingly cradling his son and revealed he was born earlier that day on Tuesday, writing: ‘Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, mommy is a legend, sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!’ he captioned the photo.
Ant was soon inundated with messages from friends including Jamie Redknapp, Davina McCall and Alesha Dixon, who were happy to see the star finally become a father after publicly discussing his desire to become a parent.

The baby will be Ant’s first, while Anne-Marie has two children, Poppy and Daisy, from her previous marriage.
When news of Anne-Marie’s pregnancy was announced, it was claimed that Ant was over the moon as he didn’t think fatherhood was in the cards for him.
A source said The sun on time: ‘This is the news everyone wanted. Ant and Anne-Marie are extremely delighted. It’s no secret that Ant has always wanted children, but the fact that it might never happen for him was something he had unfortunately come to terms with.
‘When they heard it last year, they were very happy, but of course they kept the news quiet for as long as possible.
‘To have a child with the love of his life two years before his 50th birthday is a dream for Ant.
“He is already a wonderful, loving father to Anne-Marie’s children, and together they will be brilliant parents to this newest addition to the family.”
Ant has made Declan Donnelly godfather to his newborn son Wilder Patrick and told friends he is ‘extremely thrilled’ to become a dad, according to a new report.
The Geordie duo have worked together and been friends for 30 years – with starring roles as presenters on shows including Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.

And now Ant has made Dec godfather to his newborn with a sweet nod to his pal, The sun reports.
The publication also reports that Ant will now not return to work until May 27, when the BGT live semi-final begins, while he takes some paternity leave.
And a source said of his happiness at becoming a father: ‘Ant and Anne-Marie are very happy: their family is complete.
‘They have been inundated with sweet messages from friends, family and fans and are still wading through it. They are incredibly grateful to everyone.
‘They chose the name Wilder a while ago, but deliberately kept it a secret. They are going to be absolutely wonderful, loving parents and Ant can’t wait to be a hands-on dad, change the nappies and just spend time with little Wilder.”
