Lip reader reveals Donald Trump’s three-word compliment for Prince William

A lip reader has revealed Donald Trump described Prince William as ‘a big man’ after photos of their recent meeting in Paris showed the future king towering over the US president-elect.

Trump, 78, met the Prince of Wales, 42, at the British ambassador’s residence in Paris after the historic reopening of Notre Dame last weekend.

Expert lip reader Jacqui Press analyzed a clip of their meeting on Saturday, telling MailOnline how the incoming US president called William “a big man” as they posed for photos together.

After exchanging a warm handshake with William, Trump – who was voted back into power after defeating Kamala Harris last month – told reporters “he’s a big man, this one.”

William then asked Trump if he had “warmed up after the cathedral” after they attended the ceremonial reopening of the Paris monument earlier in the day.

Trump confirmed that, before adding: “I had a nice time there.”

Ms. Press also noted how Trump praised Prince William, telling reporters in attendance that he is “doing a fantastic job.”

Photos showed that William, who has a stately height of 191cm, appeared much taller than Trump – despite the latter’s claims that he is the same height.

Trump later lifted the lid on his conversation with William and told the newspaper New York Post they had a “great conversation” that lasted “just over half an hour.”

He also told the newspaper that Prince William Trump gave an update on King Charles’ health, explaining that the 76-year-old monarch is “fighting very hard” as his cancer treatment continues.

William also said his wife, the Princess of Wales, was “doing well” after completing preventive chemotherapy in September.

Trump told the Post: “I had a good conversation with the prince. And I asked him about his wife and he said she’s doing well. And I asked him about his father and his father fights very hard, and he loves his father and he loves his wife, so it was sad.

Trump also shared that he told the bearded prince, who has been looking more rugged lately, that William looked “very handsome.”

‘He’s a good-looking guy. He looked very handsome last night,” he continued. “Some people look better in person? He looked great. He looked very nice, and I told him so.’

Body language expert Judi James explained how Trump, who has five children, appeared to be “parental” towards William during their meeting.

She claimed that the American real estate magnate and politician approached the prince in a “friendly, almost parental” manner throughout the day.

William is now the first member of The Firm to meet Trump since his re-election last month, with experts noting that the future king could play a crucial role in forging a positive relationship between Britain and the US.

After their photo call, William and Trump went to the Salon Jaune room in the British ambassador’s residence, which had gold patterned wallpaper, a Christmas tree in the corner and a chandelier above.

Ms Press said William told Trump ‘we can warm our toes after the cathedral’ – apparently referring to the bad weather that forced Notre Dame’s grand reopening on Saturday.

Ahead of his visit to Paris, Kensington Palace said William will hold talks with both Trump and US First Lady Jill Biden to discuss the “special relationship” between Britain and the US.

William is now the first member of The Firm to meet Trump since his re-election, with experts noting he could become a “key asset” in forging a positive relationship with the US after the Labor government fell behind.

“If we have a government that has insulted the newly elected president, a chancellor that is struggling with the threat of tariffs… if there was ever a need for a head of state with an impartial relationship with him, now is the time to value it ‘, a source previously told MailOnline.

In a statement on William’s 40-minute meeting with Trump, Kensington Palace said the pair discussed a range of global issues but focused on the importance of the relationship between Britain and the US, with the president-elect sharing fond memories of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The prince last met the 78-year-old in 2019 when the then president made a state visit to Britain.
