King Charles III lamented that “we can never be on time” as he waited in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach ahead of his coronation, lip readers claimed today.
The monarch chatted with Queen Camilla on the bus after they arrived at Westminster Abbey five minutes early and waited outside in their bus.
Prince William, his wife Kate Middleton and children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, were said to have been late and eventually had to join the King’s procession through the church as they could not catch up to get ahead of him.
Lip reader Jeremy Freeman has since analyzed a video of the king waiting on the bus outside in the rain. The expert claimed to the Daily star that he thought Charles was saying, ‘We can never be on time. There’s always something… this is boring.”
A second lip-reader, Jacqui Press, also studied footage of Charles earlier in the carriage parade and told MailOnline she thought he said, “I’m worried about time, I mean it’s been longer this time and, well, um, i mean look! I know.’

It follows that William and Kate arrived late, leading to a change in the scheduled order of service before the king had even stepped out of his carriage.
According to the official coronation order, the Prince and Princess of Wales would arrive and take their seats before Charles and Camilla.
Instead, they arrived after Charles, which meant that the king had to wait in his carriage before finally walking into the abbey ahead of his eldest son.
Most of the 2,300 guests – including world leaders, royal dignitaries, celebrities and charity workers – had already taken their seats in the church two hours before the ceremony began.
The order of service read: ‘Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Charlotte of Wales and Prince Louis of Wales arrive at the Great West Door and are shown to their seats in the Lantern. All remain seated. Their Majesties The King and Queen arrive at the West Gate. A marching band sounds. All standing.’
Instead, William and Kate lined up behind the king and sat down as he was already walking into the church.
Buckingham Palace today issued a public statement on behalf of Charles and Camilla for the first time since they were crowned.
A palace spokesman said the king and queen were “deeply moved” by the national celebration of their historic coronation.
“Their Majesties were deeply moved by yesterday’s events and deeply grateful to all who helped make it such a glorious event – and to the very many who showed their support in such numbers in London and beyond.” he said.

The King, Queen and Royal Family will join approximately 20,000 members of the public at the musical extravaganza to see performances by Take That, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.
With hours to go before the star-studded concert, William and Kate greeted the Big Lunch visitors in an unannounced walkabout of about 40 minutes on The Long Walk in Windsor.
To show their appreciation, William and Kate greeted crowds, shook hands and chatted with revelers in some welcome sunshine after a rainy coronation day.
During the surprise walk, Kate wore a light blue blazer paired with a white top, black pants and white Vega sneakers.
Onlookers joked about her white shoes and warned her about the mud in Windsor.

In a cute moment, a little girl burst into tears when she met the princess because she was so overwhelmed.
Seeing the little girl sobbing, Kate seemed to say, “Do you want a hug?” to which the child, wearing a headband, said unequivocally, “Yes!”
The princess, who had crouched down to talk to her, continued talking to the girl, who nodded her head and shrugged as Kate patted her on the back. William also had a chat with her.
The heir to the throne was also asked how his father is today. He replied, “I think his neck hurt last night, with the crown…he weighs a lot.”
Kate was also seen picking up a Union flag in front of a child who dropped it.
Both royals posed for photos with onlookers and stopped to speak to groups.
The crowd cheered the pair on three occasions and many people thronged to take a selfie with the pair – but security had to intervene when an overzealous fan grabbed her by the hair.
The princess was also heard to say to benefactors, “I hope you had a good time too” when they complimented her on how beautiful she looked at the coronation.
William was heard jokingly asking the crowd if they had brought bottles of alcohol to celebrate.
A benefactor presented the prince with a can of ‘Return of the King’, a specially brewed organic ‘Coronation ale’. He looked absolutely thrilled and Kate smiled as her husband told the benefactor that he would save it for later.
Both royals told the public how happy they were that the sun had risen for the celebrations at Windsor Castle.
A royal fan said to Kate, “Can I just say you looked absolutely gorgeous yesterday? Absolutely stunning.’ The princess thanked them for their compliments and posed for photos.
William was heard asking children performing in shows in Windsor how they were doing, while Kate asked them what songs they were playing.
The princess also complimented children on their Union Jack face paint.
Well-wishers told the couple they “did brilliantly” at the coronation.
William was later heard telling a crying baby to be “very happy today” as he spoke to her aunt who had run to meet the future king.
