Lions star taunts Packers rival who had threatened to put ‘hands’ on him in fiery exchange after Detroit win

Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph couldn’t help but gloat in Tucker Kraft’s face after their dramatic win over the Green Bay Packers Thursday night.

The Lions flexed their muscles as serious Super Bowl contenders with a hard-fought win over the Packers at Ford Field, where Jake Bates kicked a last-second field goal to move them to 12-1 for the season.

And after their late victory, Detroit’s Joseph was involved in a heated argument with Green Bay tight end Kraft – who had threatened to ‘handle’ him in the lead-up to the game.

Kraft took aim at the Lions star earlier this week after suggesting he plays dirty on the field despite admitting he is a talented defensive back.

‘I know he is a dangerous player. He can turn games around. He’s a good DB,” he said of Joseph.

“I may not agree with some of the places he likes to connect with. He took some of my brothers out of the game, and I think about that too. So I get a chance to catch him playing football.”

After the Lions emerged victorious, Joseph Kraft was seen challenging while being restrained by members of the Detroit coaching team.

He followed up the row by running down the tunnel in celebration, before high-fiving a crowd of home fans queuing to the side.

Kraft said of his meeting with Joseph after the game: “He was waiting for me to walk into the tunnel and he had some words for me.

“So I just let him know. He’s not going to hurt me. I don’t think he did that.

‘Yes. I talked about that early in the week and I insisted. I didn’t intend for it to travel the distance it did, but when it did, I insisted. That was a tough match. They are a good team. We’ll see them again.’

However, Joseph refused to acknowledge the Packers man when questioned about it himself.

“Are you talking about the mac and cheese Kraft? “I don’t know who that boy is,” he claimed.

Kraft, who finished Thursday night’s game with three catches for 41 yards, hindered Joseph when the Lions defender tried to pick him off with a low tackle in the third quarter.

However, he was ultimately thwarted by Jack Campbell and Terrion Arnold.

Thursday’s loss leaves the Packers with a 9-4 record, followed by the Seattle Seahawks.
