Detroit Lions running after David Montgomery and girlfriend Tatum Causey’s pit bull were involved in a horrific biting encounter with a smaller dog days after moving to Michigan this summer, according to reports.

Montgomery, who sealed an $18 million move to Detroit in March, was just settling into his new home in the city when pit bull mix Lola was accused of biting the smaller dog in question and breaking his leg.

According to TMZ sportsofficers were called to his residence in Grosse Pointe Shores on June 4 over allegations that Lola had escaped from the property and attacked another dog on the sidewalk.

In police CCTV footage of the incident obtained by TMZ, Causey can be heard telling officers she was in her backyard when she discovered Lola had escaped.

At the beginning of the video, the smaller dog’s owner appears to be saying, “Our dog just got attacked by their pit bull.”

Causey then says upon inquiry by the officer, “We just moved in this week.”

The other distressed owner expresses fears that his dog will ‘die’ after being attacked by Causey and Montgomery’s pit bull.

Causey later explains to the officer, “I go in, literally opened the door and I said, ‘Has anyone seen Lola?’

“So I look for her in the backyard, she normally stays in the backyard, but when I walk out, I see my brother carrying her.”

The accusing owners, who also claim to have suffered bite marks and cuts themselves in the incident, claim their pup required two leg fractures and stitches.

The report alleges that Causey was charged with a felony by harboring a vicious dog during the alleged attack, although court records show she pleaded not guilty to the charge in late June. She must be heard again next month.

Causey, who has a seven-month-old boy with Montgomery, appeared to imply that Lola has since passed away following the biting episode in an emotional Instagram post in July.
