Lionel Messi’s Incredible Start At Inter Miami Praised In Emotional Video By Argentina’s Football Federation: ‘They Say You Can See Aliens In The United States’

Lionel Messi has made a blistering start at Inter Miami since leaving for the MLS this summer – and his country believes the United States now has an alien in its presence.

Messi, who made the move to Miami after ending his stint in France with Paris Saint-Germain, is already joint fourth-highest scorer in Inter’s history after scoring seven goals in his first four appearances for the club.

On his debut last month, the Argentina captain curled in a 94th-minute free-kick winner to clinch a 2-1 Leagues Cup victory over Cruz Azul. FC Dallas in the eighth finals.

Simply put, Messi has hit the ground running to breathe new life into a franchise that previously struggled for form and results all season.

And the Argentine FA have released an emotional video praising their star player during his incredible start in the MLS, joking that ‘you can see aliens’ in the States as he shows off some of Messi’s highlights to date in Miami to see.

The Argentine Football Association has posted an emotional video online referring to Messi as an ‘alien’

“They say you can see aliens in the United States,” the video reads president of the Argentine Football Association Claudio Tapia, begins. Indeed, the first time they saw him turn a free kick in the 93rd minute.

It then adds, “In the United States, they don’t stop selling T-shirts of aliens. I don’t know, it’s like they’ve never seen one before. Could it be that we are used to aliens?

“It must be that our country comes from another planet.”

Messi mania has well and truly reached the United States this summer, with the Barcelona legend heading for a flyer with Miami.

Fans are convinced that Messi already looks the happiest he’s had in years at the club, a long way from the tumultuous end of his spell at PSG.

One posted a photo of Messi beaming from ear to ear in the aftermath of Sunday’s Leagues Cup victory over FC Dallas, writing: “This is the smile PSG Messi couldn’t give…”

Another shared a clip of him celebrating the penalty shootout victory over Dallas with his Miami teammates, saying, “Messi was never happier at PSG.”

A third commented, “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Lionel Messi looks happy and it’s good to see him smiling. That wasn’t always the case in Paris, but it is now. He looks genuinely happy to be playing for Inter Miami. You see it on the field.’

A fan posted a split photo of a disgruntled Messi at PSG, compared to one of him smiling in the States, writing: “This is America and #Messi will be happy.”

While another went a step further by insisting: ‘Don’t think I’ve ever seen Messi play football so happily. Great to see’.
