Widely regarded as the world’s best footballer, Messi signs a massive £522 million contract with Saudi side Al-Hilal.

The move will see him rekindle his rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Al-Hilal’s rivals Al-Nassr in the Gulf state.

And according AFPA Saudi source close to the negotiations confirmed on Tuesday morning that Messi will play in Saudi Arabia next season, calling the transfer “huge”.

The source, speaking anonymously, added that the move is now a ‘done deal’.
