Lionel Messi fully immerses himself in American culture and adapts to life in Miami by shopping at the American supermarket chain Publix on his second day in South Florida.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner was spotted pushing a cart at the supermarket checkout with a variety of cereals, including General Mills’ Lucky Charms and Kellogg’s’ Fruit Loops on Thursday, as fans eager to see Inter Miami confirm his signing by this coming weekend, at the earliest.

Messi, who is set to earn $54 million a year, landed in Miami on Tuesday with his wife Antonela and their three sons, Thiago, 10, Mateo, 7, and Ciro, 5.

Petite Argentina, whose height is listed at 5ft 7in (1.75m), even had time to pose with some of his American fans in the Sunshine State as he made his way out of the supermarket.

Earlier this week, Messi was spotted having a family meal in Miami Beach on his first day in the US on Wednesday.
