Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal reportedly had “private jets ready in Paris” to fly Lionel Messi back to Riyadh.
There has been much speculation about his next move, with the seven-time Ballon d’O’r winner heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
But today it looks like he will turn down a massive £2bn move to Saudi Arabia and a transfer back to his former club Barcelona, with Fabrizio Romano reporting today that the 35-year-old will instead announce a move to Inter Miami “in the next few hours.”
It also turns out, according to CBS Sportsthat Al Hilal reportedly had “private jets waiting in Paris for Messi and in Barcelona for his father Jorge” ready to take him to Riyadh.
It comes as Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema also announced he would move to the Saudi Pro League, joining Al-Ittihad in a massive £258 million deal that will see the 35-year-old join for three years and will earn as much as £. 86 million per season.
