Lionel Messi and David Beckham went to a party in Miami on Friday night to celebrate a 4-0 win over Charlotte FC in the Leagues Cup.

Their wives, Antonela Roccuzzo and Victoria Beckham, joined the festivities along with Miami’s two other soccer superstars in Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

Busquets’ wife Elena was also there and posed for a photo with Victoria and Antonela after another great night on the football pitch for Inter Miami.

Messi scored his eighth Miami goal in just his fifth appearance for his new team as they progress to the last four of the Leagues Cup and now have a realistic chance of winning a trophy next weekend.

And to mark the occasion, Messi, Miami co-owner Beckham and the rest of the group were hosted by David Grutman at Gekko Miami – a sushi and steakhouse restaurant.

Victoria posted some photos from the night on Instagram, writing, “I LOVE MIAMI!!! So much fun last night!!! Kisses @DavidBeckham @AntonelaRoccuzzo @Leo Messi xxxx’.

Grutman, meanwhile, shared photos of herself with the new stars of American football, with the caption “casual Friday.”

Grutman is friends with the Beckham family and has been seen at several games in Miami at the DRV PNK Stadium since Messi came to play for the team last month.

He has had a front row seat to what has been a huge impact of Messi on the Miami team, who face the Philadelphia Union on Tuesday evening for a place in the final.

It was Messi’s teammate who gave Miami the lead against Charlotte on Friday night by scoring a penalty in the 12th minute.

Robert Taylor doubled the lead 20 minutes later with his third goal for the team since Messi joined the side.

It came to 3-0 in the 78th minute with an own goal from Adilson. Malanda put the game out of Charlotte’s reach – he stretched to intercept a pass over goal and accidentally stabbed it past his own goalkeeper.

And it was Messi who rounded off the scoring with a goal from him, who reversed from close range with a thunderous left foot and the ball was cut back into the area.

Busquets, who posed for a selfie with Grutman at the restaurant on Friday night, said afterwards it was “nice” to play with Messi again.

Miami coach Tata Martino, meanwhile, insisted it’s not just Messi that the team is starting to improve its form. Friday’s win over Charlotte was Miami’s biggest in 2023.

“It’s not just Leo, we found different ways to score,” said Martino.

Messi once again took center stage as Inter Miami defeated Charlotte FC in an emphatic 4-0 scoreline

But Charlotte coach Christian Lattanzio couldn’t help but focus on the Messi impact after the game.

“When you have Messi, you know he just needs a chance. He only needs one second,’ he said.

“You have to be very sharp to prevent him from producing the magic he has been producing since he went to Barcelona when he was 16.”

Messi, Busquets and Alba return to Miami against the Philadelphia Union on Tuesday evening to bid for a spot in next weekend’s Leagues Cup final.

The Union is home for that game, hosting Miami at Union Park.
