Lindt announces major change to its iconic Gold Bunny chocolate

Candy giant Lindt will transform its beloved chocolate bunny into a log before Easter.

The renowned chocolatier has launched a new ‘Gold Bunny Block’ for chocoholics this holiday season.

The block will be made from the same type of Lindt milk chocolate that Australians love.

The bar will have the same velvety, whole milk flavors with notes of honey, malt and caramel to maintain the authentic combination of flavors and textures.

The chocolate bunny, which is wrapped in gold with a red ribbon and a small gold bell, is a favorite among millions of Australian households.

Lindt master chocolatier Thomas Schnetzler was excited to let consumers taste the latest delicacy

“This wonderfully convenient new format of a well-known and loved Easter favorite is simply perfect, whether you’re sharing with family and friends or enjoying a moment of pampering for yourself,” Mr Schnetzler said. 7 News.

Lindt made the move to create the chocolate block after the company started research into the types of chocolate consumers like to buy.

The results of the survey showed that Aussies chose to buy chocolate for themselves or to share with family rather than buying chocolate to gift to someone else.

Australians can get their hands on the new chocolate block for $5 at major retailers including Coles, Big W and David Jones.

The Easter icon was first created in 1952 and quickly became a popular treat with the company, which now sells more than 210 million bunnies around the world every Easter.
