“There’s an essence I wanted to capture, the loneliness of being an immigrant, of being successful, of paving a path that hadn’t been made before,” he added.

Lincoln explained that he was invited to Ibrahim’s home for research so that he could properly embody the role.

“You can learn a lot about a person just by being in their space. He’s charismatic, he’s open, he respects that I know what I’m doing. And that’s all I need,” he added.
