Lily James looked animated on Sunday when she was spotted spending time with Alexa Chung’s ex Orson Fry in New York City.
The Mamma Mia actress, 34, has reportedly taken time off from her relationship with boyfriend Michael Shuman after growing apart in recent months, The Sun claimed earlier this year.
The newly single star opted for a casual look in a white cardigan and tan cargo pants as she laughed with Orson, 26, and enjoyed vaping as they chatted with friends outside a hotel.
The pair seemed very cheerful and clearly comfortable with each other as they engaged in animated conversation.
Orson, the scion of the Fry chocolate dynasty, began dating fashion icon Alexa Chung in 2019, but the couple split in the summer of 2022.

Lily and rock star Michael were first linked in February 2021 after they were spotted sharing a kiss outside a Suffolk boutique hotel while singing What’s Love Got To Do With It? filmed.
They then made their red carpet debut at the 2022 Oscars, where they looked loved up.
A source told the publication, “Lily and Michael have grown apart over the past few months and have now decided to end their relationship.
“They just couldn’t make it work as a couple, but they both wish each other the best for the future.”
And speaking on Capital Breakfast last month, the Pam & Tommy actress described herself as a “serial relationship perk.”
Chatting with hosts Roman Kemp and Sian Welby, she explained: “Yeah, I’ve been kind of a serial so I haven’t had any crazy dating stories, but I went on my friends hinge recently and I was just desperate. I mean come on!’

Lily also looked windy in recent days as she filmed for her new role in the thriller film Relay at Father Duffy Square in New York City.
The actress donned a long khaki trench coat over black tapered pants and a gray top when she came into character.
She traded glamor for a more understated look, while completing the look with a pair of hiking boots.
Meanwhile, she opted for a barely-there makeup look as her now dark brown locks were pulled back loosely in a low ponytail.
While filming in the Big Apple, Lily appeared in a hurry as she crossed the square.
The film comes from director David Mackenzie and will be shot in April in New York and New Jersey.
The new production follows Tom (Riz Ahmed), who hides his identity as he brokers lucrative payouts between corrupt corporations and the individuals who threaten their downfall.
Things change for the character after a potential client, Sarah (Lily James), reaches out to seek protection in order to stay alive.
Production company Black Bear International is launching the project on the European Film Market.
The new project was unveiled in February by the two acclaimed actors, with a release date not yet known.
Relay joins a collection of projects this year for Lily, who also stars in the Zac Efron wrestling biopic The Iron Claw.
Lily portrays the triumphant and tragic story of the Von Erich wrestling family and plays Pam Adkisson.
It comes after Lily was spotted with businessman Andrei Gillott on a Los Angeles outing last month.
Lily’s most recent film role was in the romantic comedy What’s Love Got To Do With It? opposite Shazad Latif and Emma Thompson.
